Anyone who knows me, knows that I am an Auburn fan. Not the biggest fan I know, but it is football season and there is an AU flag hanging next to my American flag on the front of my house.
And breast cancer…all cancer…is something that needs to be stopped. I have noticed lately that the women who are being diagnosed are getting younger and younger. Being that I’m a woman with ta-tas and I have 3 girls, the reason for my worry over this disease should be obvious.
It was just the other day my girls were singing John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change” and we talked about how they, as individuals, can’t just sit there and wait for the world to change…they have to take a step in that direction. I’m a lead-by-example kind of mom, so here we are.
I have registered a team with the Lee National Denim Day….give a donation and wear denim on Oct 3, 2008 to show your support for the fight against breast cancer. Combine that denim with an Auburn shirt and show your Auburn spirit! The team name is “Tigers for Ta-Tas!” and the team number is 226786. Please help me spread the word to everyone you know who has some connection to Auburn….student, alumni, faculty, fan….everyone!
Even if you aren’t an Auburn fan, please think about taking the time to support this cause!
War Eagle!
