I know its only been about 7 months since we experienced life with a touch of Disney, but I am REALLY missing Disney World right now. Oh…I know…its the worst time of year to go….its hot, parks are packed, blah, blah, blah….but I still miss it.
When we lived in Georgia we had annual passes and definitely got our money’s worth out of them. Annual Passes put Disney in a whole new perspective…there’s not rushing around and the we-have-to-do-this-today mentality…you don’t have to buy every souvenir you like or eat at ALL of the restaurants…you can take your time and enjoy it and skip the stuff you don’t like and do your favorites over and over again. I even managed to run the Disney Marathon in 2005. And last year for Christmas, when DH was deployed, Santa brought the girls and I a Disney cruise. So we have had more than our fair share of the Disney experience…but I still miss it.
Then I saw on a friend’s blog how they went on a Disney trip recently and yesterday I was watching the travel channel and Samantha Brown was at Disney World and I REALLY got the itch. ((sigh)) Its just fun. You go and you travel to another world and you don’t worry about cleaning or laundry or nap times or a perfectly healthy diet. You get to forget your worries and just wear yourself out having fun. Breakfast with the Princesses, Dinner at Ohana or the 50s Prime Time Cafe, Talking with Crush at Epcot….ahh….fun, fun, fun….
My head tells me we have gone there enough and its time to look for something new….like that Alaskan Cruise! But I still miss it.
I guess I will have to wait. DH has checked their corporate HQ website a few times for jobs and with all of the change in our world over the next year, now is not the time. But with the grandparents only living a couple of hours from the House of Mouse, the next time is not far away!
